Este metapaquete instalará herramientas para varios propósitos dentro del

The list to the right includes various software projects which are of some interest to the Debian Med Project. Currently, only a few of them are available as Debian packages. It is our goal, however, to include all software in Debian Med which can sensibly add to a high quality Debian Pure Blend.
For a better overview of the project's availability as a Debian package, each head row has a color code according to this scheme:
If you discover a project which looks like a good candidate for Debian Med
to you, or if you have prepared an unofficial Debian package, please do not hesitate to

EDFbrowser is a viewer for medical timeseries storage files containing data
such as EEG, EMG, and ECG signals. It supports EDF(+) and BDF(+) file
formats.
Apart from viewing the files, it also supports some editing operations and
can convert the biomedical files to other formats.

Periodic Calendar is a GUI application which assists in women menstrual
cycles tracking and fertility periods prediction. This information can
be used as supportive either for conception or contraception planning.
Periodic Calendar provides support for BBT and sympto-thermal methods
which have the highest reliability in fertility periods prediction. User
can choose any subset of the features to be used or even fall to the generic
calendar method (which if used alone is very unreliable).
Authors of the Periodic Calendar still insist on not being an equal
substitute to the fertility planning consultants or doctors. Before
using this application please talk to your doctor or read a good book
on the subject.
THE PREDICTIONS MADE BY THIS PROGRAM CAN BE NEVER BE CONSIDERED AS FINAL. THE
METHODS USED ARE NOT 100% EFFECTIVE FOR ALL WOMEN.

Pondus keeps track of your body weight and, optionally, the percentage of
bodyfat, muscle and water. It aims to be simple to use, lightweight and
fast. All data can be plotted to get a quick overview of the history of
your weight. A simple weight planner allows one to define "target weights"
and this plan can be compared with the actual measurements in a plot.

QuitCount is a simple counter that shows what you spared since
you quit smoking. Once you tell it the date you quit, how much
you smoked, and how much it cost, it'll tell you how many
cigarettes you didn't smoke since, and how much it makes in
terms of money, tar, and life expectancy.

por esfuerzo repetitivo o «Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI)». El programa
muestra alertas periódicas para que realice micropausas, descansos y
restringe el límite máximo diario de uso.
Incluye una aplicación para la barra de tareas compatible con GNOME y KDE y
es capaz de monitorizar por la red su actividad si cambia entre diferentes

Cycle es un calendario para mujeres. Dada la duración de los ciclos o
estadísticas de varios períodos, puede calcular los días hasta la
menstruación, los días de sexo «seguro», el período fértil, y los días para
las ovulaciones y define la fecha de nacimiento de un niño. Permite al
usuario escribir notas y ayuda a supervisar la administración de píldoras
hormonales anticonceptivas.
Posibilidades del programa:
- Calcula los días de la menstruación, basándose en la longitud del ciclo
- en estadísticas de períodos previos.
- Calcula los días de sexo «seguro», período fértil y días de
las ovulación.
- Definición de la fecha de nacimiento de un bebé.
- Permite escribir notas.
- Ayuda a supervisar la toma de píldoras hormonales anticonceptivas.
- Se permiten múltiples usuarios. Los datos se protegen usando una
contraseña para cada usuario.
Aviso: Este programa no es un método fiable de anticoncepción. Tampoco
sirve para prevenir la transmisión de enfermedades sexuales como el
SIDA. Solamente en un medio electrónico para estar al tanto de algunos de
sus datos médicos y extraer algunas conclusiones estadísticas de ellos. De
ninguna manera puede considerar a este programa como un sustituto de su
ginecólogo.

Mencal es un calendario menstrual escrito en Perl.
Es una variación sencilla de la conocida orden de UNIX cal. La principal
diferencia es que se pueden tener algunos días resaltados en color
repetidos periódicamente. Esto se puede usar para hacer un seguimiento de

MSSStest is a program for implementing the method described in the
article The Multiple Sclerosis Severity Score. R. Roxburgh S. Seaman et
al. (2004), accepted for publication by Neurology. It calculates MSSS
scores and uses these scores to test for differences between disease
progression rates in different groups defined by genotype at some locus. A
brief description of the method is given below.
